This sheet prints 16 small herb stakes at 100 by 20 mm, enough for a herb bed, a window box or a row of pots on a kitchen windowsill. Each has a kiwi green band with a leaf, the herb's name in classic lettering and the variety where it helps, such as Sweet Genovese basil.

This version prints a full A4 sheet of 16 small stakes, each 100 mm long and 20 mm wide with a 16 mm point. The herbs are Basil (Sweet Genovese), Parsley (Flat leaf), Coriander (Calypso), Chives, Mint (Spearmint), Rosemary, Thyme (Common), Sage, Oregano, Dill (Bouquet), Lemon balm, Tarragon (French), Fennel (Bronze), Bay, Marjoram (Sweet) and Chervil. The sheet prints landscape, two stakes across and eight down. There is no date line, because most herbs are bought as plants or grown for years in the same pot, so the space goes to a larger name in classic lettering with a kiwi green band and leaf at the top.
To make your own set, type the herbs you grow, one to a line, with the variety after a | where it matters: mint and thyme come in many flavours that look alike, and Moroccan mint, apple mint and chocolate mint are easy to mix up once they spread. If you sow annual herbs such as basil, coriander and dill from seed each spring, switch the date line to Sown. A single herb in several pots can print more than once with Copies of each.
Small stakes suit pots from about 9 cm across up to a large trough, and they sit low enough not to hide the plant. In a herb bed, push them in at the front of each clump so they can be read from the path. Label mint and lemon balm carefully: both spread underground, and a label marks where the original plant was when you come to dig it back in autumn. In a kitchen, a set of matching labels along a windowsill also helps anyone else who cooks find the right herb.
Print at 100% on card or waterproof paper. For pots that live indoors, card is enough. Outside, laminate the sheet before cutting or use synthetic paper. Cut the two long sides first, then snip the point. Check the size on the sheet header with a ruler: each stake should measure exactly 100 by 20 mm.
