A village or community hall notice board does a lot of jobs at once: it advertises the classes and clubs that keep the hall busy, tells people how to book it for a party, asks for volunteers and holds the lost property list. This set gives it a cheerful What's on banner and six clear sections. The banner prints in rounded capitals 10 cm tall, each letter the next colour of WallKiwi's bright mix, inside a band with a dark rule along its top and bottom. It fits on four A4 landscape sheets and is about 90 cm long once the sheets are butted together. The six headers are solid strips 27.7 by 6 cm, three to a landscape sheet, filled in turn with coral, sunshine yellow, kiwi green, sky blue, lilac and berry and lettered in white, or dark green on the yellow strip. That is six sheets in all.
Rewrite the headers to match how your hall is used: Coffee morning, Toddler group, Yoga and Pilates, Parish council, Film night or Repair cafe all work, and a header can run up to 40 characters. The third-sheet strips suit a board with many sections; if you have only three or four, half-sheet strips at 9 cm deep read better from across the room. For a quieter look, choose one colour and an outline instead of the bright mix.
The This week section is the one people read first, so put it at the top left, under the banner, and keep only the next seven days in it. Hall hire details, the booking contact and prices belong near the door. A lost property header pinned above a small basket or a hook saves a lot of phone calls.
Print on card at 100% so the letters come out at their true height. Cut each banner band out on its dashed line, then butt the sheets together left to right in the order printed below each band. The headers share their cut lines, so one straight cut separates two strips. A strip of double-sided tape behind each header stops it lifting when the door opens and closes all day.
