About this version

Ten tables is a common size for a wedding of 80 to 100 guests, and these are the table numbers most couples start from. Each card prints the word Table in small classic lettering, a short sage rule with a diamond in the middle, and the number underneath in large classic numerals, all in sage green inside a fine double frame of a bold outer line and a thin inner line. Every number in the set is the same size, so the single-digit tables do not look bigger than Table 10.

The cards are tents. Each one is a portrait A4 sheet printed with the same design on both halves, the top half upside down, and a dotted fold line across the middle. Fold it with the printing outside and it stands on the table with each side 210 mm wide and 148 mm tall, the size of A5 turned on its side, and the number reads the right way up from both sides of the table. Ten cards print on ten sheets.

Change the first and last table to suit your room: 1 to 8, 1 to 15, or 2 to 12 if the top table has no number. The word above can be anything you like, such as Table, Tafel for a Dutch family, or nothing at all for a cleaner look. If you prefer words to numerals, choose numbers in words and the same cards print One, Two, Three. For a different colour to match the flowers, choose navy, berry, gold, charcoal or forest green, or black for printing on kraft card.

Print at 100% on white or ivory card of 200 to 300 gsm, and score each fold before you bend it so the tents stand straight. Put each card at the middle of its table, in front of the flowers rather than behind them, and check from the door that every number can be seen. If the tables are round and large, a second card on the far side helps guests at the back of the room. After the day, the cards fold flat and keep well for a friend's wedding.
