Wedding table numbers
Table numbers tell guests where to sit once they have found their name on the table plan. This tool prints one card per table, as a numeral, the number in words or a table name, with an optional word such as Table above: folded A5 tent cards, flat A5 cards or 4 by 6 inch frame cards.

How to make it
- 1Choose numbers, numbers in words or table names, then the first and last table, or type the names one per line.
- 2Choose the card: a folded tent, a flat A5 card for a stand, or a 4 by 6 inch card for a photo frame. Then the word above the number, the lettering and the colours.
- 3Press Make it, print at 100% on card, cut along the dashed lines and fold tent cards along the dotted line in the middle.
How it prints
A tent card is one portrait A4 sheet folded across the middle, so each side is 210 by 148 mm, the size of A5 turned on its side. The top half is printed upside down, so once folded the number reads the right way up from both sides of the table. A flat A5 card is 148 by 210 mm, two to a landscape A4 sheet with one cut down the middle, and fits an A5 frame or a table number stand. A frame card is 102 by 152 mm, the 4 by 6 inch size of a standard photo frame, two to a sheet with shared cut lines; the design keeps 6 mm clear of the edge so the frame does not hide it.
Every card has a fine double frame, the word above (Table, or anything you type, or nothing), a short rule with a diamond, and the number or name as large as it fits. Every card in a set shares one size, so Table 7 is not larger than Table 12 on the next table. Numbers run from 1 to 99 and words from One to Forty, up to 40 cards in a set. Colours can be one colour, WallKiwi's bright mix in turn, soft pastels with dark lettering, or black and white for coloured card.
Questions people ask
What size are the table numbers?
A folded tent card is 210 by 148 mm on each side (A5 landscape). A flat A5 card is 148 by 210 mm. A frame card is 102 by 152 mm, which is 4 by 6 inches and fits a standard photo frame. Print at 100% so they come out at these sizes.
Will the numbers fit my table number holders?
Most wire and wooden table number holders take a card between A6 and A5. The flat A5 cards fit A5 stands and frames; the 4 by 6 inch cards fit photo frames and the smaller holders. Measure the holder's slot first, and trim a little off the bottom of a card if it is too tall.
Can I name the tables instead of numbering them?
Yes. Choose table names and type them one per line: flowers, places you have lived or travelled, songs, films, or anything that means something to you. Long names go onto two lines. Make sure the table plan uses exactly the same names.
How do I make the tent cards stand up?
Print on card of at least 200 gsm, score along the dotted fold line with a ruler and the back of a knife, and fold with the printing on the outside. Card stands on its own; paper will sag by the evening.
Does table 13 cause problems?
Some couples skip 13 or give that table a name instead. Make two sets, such as 1 to 12 and 14 to 20, or switch to table names for every table so no number is missing.
