# Blank bunting template This blank bunting template prints ten empty pennant flags to colour, paint or write on. Each flag is 12.8 by 17.2 cm with a fold strip along the top, two to a landscape A4 sheet, so ten flags take five sheets and hang about 1.5 m long when strung. This preset prints ten plain pennant flags, the classic triangle shape, with no letters, no fill and a clear outline that doubles as the cut line. Each flag is 12.8 by 17.2 cm including a fold strip at the top, and two flags share each landscape A4 sheet, so the ten flags use five sheets and string out to about 1.5 m with a small gap between them. The flags are left white so they take whatever you put on them: felt tips, paint, crayon, collage, stamps or a message in your own handwriting. Because nothing is printed inside the outline, the same sheet suits a craft afternoon, a birthday table, a welcome sign, a street party or a family occasion where each guest decorates a flag and signs it. Print on 160 to 200 gsm card if your printer allows it, as paint and glue will cockle thin paper. To use it, print at 100% so the flags keep their true size, cut round each outline, and fold the strip back along the dashed line over a length of string or ribbon. Tape or glue the strip down, then thread the flags in order. If you plan to paint, decorate the flags flat before folding the strip, and let them dry fully before you hang them. Need more or fewer flags? Change the number of blank flags, up to 40, or switch to large flags for a long wall or small flags for a mantelpiece or a cake stand. Large flags are 18 by 25 cm, one to a portrait sheet, and give plenty of room for a drawing or a hand-lettered word. Small flags are 8.8 by 12.4 cm, four to a sheet, and suit a table edge. The shape can change too: swallowtails, squares and scallops all print blank in the same way. If you would rather have colour already printed, choose a solid fill and a colour mix, and the flags come out coloured but still without letters. To spell out a word instead, set the number of blank flags back to 0 and type your words.
